My bandmates and I had a great time performing for an enthusiastic crowd at my recent show in Springfield.
It was a beautiful day with sunny weather as we loaded in our gear and afterward played a mix of pop, jazz and classical music for a good number of folks. A spread of listeners came out from different parts of western Mass to come hear us at our show, and we thank them so much for coming and showing their support for live music.
It felt particularly exhilarating to do this show for which I had dreamed up a varied set of music in a more organic way than usual, as I am not only a singer-songwriter but also a working musician and I find myself playing a wide array of music for listeners and I sought to give people a taste of my everyday range of music in my set. Out of that set of music, I wished to bring to folks songs that I love to sing, and that included “I Love Paris” by Cole Porter as well as “Duke's Place” by Duke Ellington.
In this photo, I am meeting the lovely librarian after the show who coordinated our concert, and it's been great to be in touch with her over the years, as years back I had the opportunity also to bring a blend of original music and poetry to the Springfield City Library. So it was great to be back! Here are a few pics from the show below.
There's more music on the way from me as my next release looms on the horizon and I can't wait to tell you more about it soon.
