On International Jazz Day, audiences joined us for a jazz spring concert offered by yours truly and her jazz ensemble. Our performance served as my personal tribute to the season and to National Jazz Appreciation Month.
Accompanied by saxophone, drums, and bass, I sang a selection of favorite jazz classics on keys, guitar, and banjolele. The setlist featured a diverse range of music by George Gershwin, Duke Ellington, and Antonio Carlos Jobim, alongside gypsy jazz, 1920s jazz standards, folk, and jazz-pop blends.
The event offered free admission and on-site parking at the Brightwood Branch of the Springfield City Library, bringing friends and the community together for an unforgettable evening of live music.
