In this video vlog, I am rehearsing on a church organ in Connecticut in preparation for a wedding. I have served weddings in New York, Vermont, and all around Massachusetts, especially on the east coast.
Every organ on which I find myself to play for a wedding is different, some are older organs, like the 100 year old organ on which I found myself playing at a chapel at M.I.T., and some are more modern and higher tech.
As part of my work serving as an organist for worship services, I found myself playing an organ that was completely controlled by a computer screen. It was quite an adventure! After an orientation, I figured this organ out.
It always helps me to get to the organ, whenever possible, before the wedding to scope out the individual features of the organ.
